Charity
Welcome to LMA, where compassion meets action. We are dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need through our commitment to charity and community service.
A few of our charity activities are listed below:
During the challenging aftermath of the Hud Hud Cyclone, LMA provided essential provisions and toiletries to support 1,200 families in Vizag
When Chennai was submerged under several feet of water and citizens urgently needed assistance, LMA responded promptly by delivering a truckload of essential provisions, toiletries, new clothes, and bed sheets. LMA was able to help 600 families meet their basic needs
Seniors, who have shaped us into who we are today, sometimes find themselves relocated from their own homes to distant care facilities, where they live among strangers despite being cared for. Though their physical needs are met by well-paid caregivers, they often long for the familiarity of their own people. Bringing joy to their lives and restoring their sense of dignity is a cause close to our hearts. When the opportunity arose to organize a program for seniors at Chandra Rajeshwara Rao Home for the Aged, we eagerly seized it. The event was a tremendous success, as we witnessed them sing, dance, and thoroughly enjoy themselves, momentarily forgetting their worries. We pledged to return and spend more time with them at our earliest chance, cherishing the connections we've made.
This place is not so different from the one I mentioned earlier. These are individuals who have been marginalised from our society, which we often believe contributes to its peace. Among them may be criminals and offenders who, while not suited to life in mainstream society, are intended to be reformed rather than simply punished in jails. Therefore, without hesitation, we decided to visit a place where joy and music are not typically found. We organised a performance for all the inmates at Chanchalguda Jail in Hyderabad, offering them a much-needed break from their daily routines within the confines of the prison. We could sense their sense of liberation and the profound impact of treating them with dignity and humanity.
The philosophy of 'Giving' is not only embraced by LMA as an organisation but also deeply ingrained in the families of LMA students, who share the same compassionate DNA. LMA families actively contributed by distributing clothes and blankets to homeless individuals living on the pavements.
LMA awarded scholarships to deserving, financially disadvantaged students at LMA to support and encourage their academic pursuits.
LMA supported talented children passionate about music and showcased their abilities on TV shows by providing them with Sruthi Boxes, enabling them to further develop their skills.
Thalassemia is a challenging blood disorder requiring continuous monitoring and costly medical care, placing significant financial strain on patients and their families. Many underprivileged children affected by this condition urgently require financial support to sustain until their next treatment cycle—a stark reality they face daily. Recognizing this need, LMA organized a benefit show at Ravindra Bharati to raise funds and provide assistance to some of these children.
When the people of Kurnool faced the most severe flood in over a century, we felt compelled to stand with them. We raised approximately Rs 25,000 and donated it to the Kurnool Relief Fund.
On the occasion of legendary singer Sri S.P. Balasubrahmanyam's birthday, LMA donated Rs. 10,000/- to Ravinder, a student who lost his father—the sole breadwinner of his family—and was unable to pay his college fees.
Facilitated Sri Bandaru Chitti Babu garu along with UNESCO for his service towards Light Music.
The Kasturba Gandhi National Memorial Trust supports destitute women who have been abandoned by their families for various reasons, as well as leprosy patients ostracized by society, providing them refuge in the Ashram. LMA organized a musical performance to entertain these less fortunate individuals, and in return, we were deeply touched by the love and affection they showered upon us.
Though Rama was physically crippled with Polio, her wings of imagination could not be clipped and she aimed big in her life. LMA wanted to do her bit by donating a Motor Cycle with accessibility features so that she can become mobile like any of us.
LMA assisted a few LMA students in achieving their dream, to pursue higher education, by covering their education fees totaling Rs. 25,000. Additionally, LMA supported deserving children from underprivileged backgrounds by covering school fees amounting to Rs. 40,000.
