Little Musicians Academy

Music washes away the dirt of everyday from our souls. Although most of us can appreciate music only a few are gifted enough to create it. Only 5 among a 100 people are musically gifted and with training can realise their God-gifted talent. And even if there is latent talent not everybody is fortunate enough to find the right Guru who can nurture and lead his pupil on the path to greatness. In order to achieve success one need to learn various techniques and be able to sing every genre of music – light, Classical and semi-classical, ghazals, bhajans, film songs and folk ones and even tunes based on Western music. In this vast world of music, it is easy to get lost and fall on the wayside in absence of proper guidance and training. And here, Little Musicians Academy, steps in to provide free musical training to children below 18 years, nurture their unique musical talent, instill values and guide them into becoming professional musicians with the right attitude and pleasing personality.

The Journey

Dr. K Ramachary’s musical journey took a paradigm shift after his impressive run in ‘Padutha Theeyaga’ the first TV reality show in South India. Even before featuring in Paduta teeyaga, Sri Ramachary was a popular TV and Radio artist well-known for his programs on Doordarshan – Telugu and Aakasawani. With a growing awareness among parents about music and the potential opportunities for talented playback singers in the Telugu film and television industry, Dr. K Ramachary went on a mission to identify musically gifted children and hone their skills. With blessings and guidance of the legend Sri S P Balasubrahmanyam, Dr K Ramachary started the first batch of LMA with a very few students.

Driven by unwavering determination, the team overcame countless obstacles and officially founded the “Little Musicians Academy” (LMA) in 1999. Recognizing the significance of their mission, Dr. VaraPrasad Reddy garu, founder of Shanta Biotech suggested including ‘Balagandharvam’, bringing an added depth to their identity. What began as a simple musical journey in 1999 with 15 trainee musicians has metamorphosed into a citadel of learning, training thousands of students globally. In this musical journey, LMA has established its Social and Cultural trust with an aim to help the needy.
